She graduated in Architecture at the University of La Sapienza, in Rome. Then, she headed to the United States, where she got a Master in Landscape Architecture at Harvard University and a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Massachusetts. She was a Professor of Landscape Architecture and Planning both in USA and Canada. She currently teaches at the University KORE, in Enna. Her fields of interests are: urban and landscape planning on ecological, farming and cultural basis and urban and territorial landscapes. She is also into green infrastructure, ecological networks, urban renewal of derelict areas and mobility landscape. In the same fields she won several planning competitions both in Italy and abroad. She has collaborated with Haudenosaunee Environmental Round Table as she designed an urban and landscape plan for the Six Nation of The Grand River.
