She graduated in Agricultural Science and she currently works as an Associate Professor of Horticulture and Floriculture at University of Catania. Since 2001 she is a member of the Teaching Body of the Phd in Productivity of Plants cultivated in the Mediterranean environment. Currently she is president of the Master degree in Agricultural Science and Techniques at University of Catania. She is a member of many prestigious societies and academies: International Society of Horticultural Science, Italian Society for Agronomy and the Academy of Georofili. Over the years she has been taking part in several research groups as supervisor. Daniela was the scientific supervisor in the MiPAAF project “QUA.PRO.VER”. She is the author of more than 200 academic publications and meetings speeches concerning the biological and technical aspects of decorative plants and green space spacial arrangement in the Mediterranean area.
