Giuseppe Barbera is Professor of Tree Crops at University of Palermo. His fields of expertise are: trees, systems and agro-forestry landscapes in the Mediterranean area. On behalf of FAI he worked on the recovery of the garden of Kolymbetra in the Temple Valley in Agrigento and the garden of Donnafugata in the island of Pantelleria. He is honorary member of AIAAP, Associazione Italiana Architettura del Paesaggio, member of Scientific Council of the national Observatory for the rural landscape (Ministero delle Politiche Agricole Alimentari e Forestali) and is also member of Fondazione Benetton Studi e Ricerche. He is part of Legambiente National Scientific Committee.
