Roman, medieval, English and Italian-style gardens: there is always something to suit all tastes.
The art of gardening is a phenomenon that finds its roots in ancient times, it is a field open to experimentation and a place to retreat to when you desire to run away from the frantic, stressful reality.
In people’s minds, indeed, nature mirrors the society’s need of healthier spaces where to live in harmony and find balance between body, mind and the others. For this reason, over the years, the interest toward this field has become as strong as to give origin to a specific branch of the industry: the garden design.
Garden design is not only about designing gardens, it is primarily about generating new awareness and new feelings in the beholders. Unfortunately, today gardens are still considered as a mere decorative element, which is a simplistic definition if you think that the Landscaper is a professional and a creative, both technologically and artistically learned and influenced by.
In an age where technology is forcing us to stay hyperconnected, gardens become a means through which the relationship with nature is possible.
As a matter of fact, scientists show evidence of the positive effects coming from gardens on the human beings’: the five senses are all involved and the psycho-physical well-being improves dramatically. Then, why shouldn’t we live more closer to the green areas and make them an oustanding part of our urban landscapes?
The turning point, therefore, is in garden design, in the planning and the organization of spaces emotions-oriented where innovation blends with natural art.
Nowadays, steps forward in science allow garden designers more room to experiment, create and incorporate eco-friendly materials combined and digital technologies.
On April 21, 2017 Garden Design lands to Sicily, during the Radicepura Garden Festival, the first international event in which art and nature will be the protagonists of an unprecedented experience.
