Landscape Architect
Born in Milan, graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan in 1993. He studied in England gardens’ architect Geoffrey Jellicoe, publishing a critical monograph titled ‘Geoffrey Jellicoe dall’arte al giardino’, published by “Il Verde Editoriale “ in 1999.
He developed his professional experience in the field of landscape architecture working for Balsari’s studio from 1993 to 1997, decisive years for his education.
In 1997 he founded his own studio engaging in projects and achievements in Italy and Europe for public and private areas. The study addresses the different issues with a twofold methodological approach: on the one hand, the relationship with architecture and the genius loci, in which the green system becomes an ideal unicum; on the other hand, the constant attention to environmental sustainability achieved through botanical research of essences that require low maintenance and minimal water consumption.
Terraces; restoration of historic gardens, environmental rehabilitation of commercial and industrial spaces; study of the landscape for new urban settlements; sports fields; museum spaces outdoors are some of the issues that involve the study in their respective scales.
1998-2002 he was editor of the monthly Verde in “Case da Abitare”.
From January 2014 for VilleGiardini writes the column ‘Oltre la siepe’.
In 2018 he published with Mondadori the book ‘Drawing with Trees. Stories of gardens’.
2005-2009 is a member of the Building Committee for the City of Milan as an expert in urban green spaces. Joined the Professional Association of Architects of the Province of Milan in
1995, to ‘ Italian Association of Landscape Architecture since 2001, and is a member of the Horticultural Society of Lombardy.
