Professor of landscape architecture at the Department of Art of the ‘Mediterranean’ University of Reggio Calabria.
Architect, PhD in Landscape Architecture, he is Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at d’Art Department of ‘Mediterranea’ Univer- sity of Reggio Calabria.
His interests led him to investigate the experimental and innovative values between architecture and landscape, with special focus on landscape design and interconnections with the environment and ecology.
The project research activity takes place mainly through participation in architectural competitions, collaborations and consultations, seminars and workshops with Italian and foreign universities.
He has been visiting professor at the Ecole National Superieure du Paysage – Versailles (1999 and 2001), at the ETSAB – Barcelona (2004), at Politecnico di Milan in Brescia ( 2006) and Milan (2007), at the Université Mohammed V de Rabat (2005 and 2006).
He has lectured at the Universities of Naples, Florence, Ferrara, Milan, Barcelona, Rabat, Marseille, Seoul, New York, Dakar.
For many years he has carried out research and design activities in developing countries (Tanzania, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya).
Gold Medal as Supervisor for thesis “Fassa Bortolo International Award for Sustainable Architecture”.
